Actress Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen are in no rush to head to the altar, according to the “Pitch Perfect 2” star—who confessed during a recent interview that she has been focusing her attention solely on the promotion of her new movie, rather than nailing down wedding plans.
Not only does the actress and singer have a starring role in the flick, she also revealed that she created a song for the soundtrack, marking her long-awaited return to music after a lengthy hiatus.
According to Billboard, Steinfeld, 28, has written a track called “Dangerous” that will round out the movie’s musical offerings—and place the talented starlet firmly back on the charts, if critic predictions are to be believed.
Still, while she has answered her fans’ cries for more music, Steinfeld has yet to reveal information about another major moment in her life: her wedding to Allen.
The on-screen star, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, announced her engagement to fellow California native Allen, also 28, in November 2024, just one year after news of their relationship surfaced.
But while fans have been itching to learn more about what the couple’s wedding might entail, Steinfeld made clear during a recent interview about her upcoming movie, “Sinners,” that she’s had little time to think about it.
“We are in the middle of a press tour. We got a movie coming out in 12 days? Six? Something. We’re focused on that,” she told Extra when asked about her pending nuptials.
The pair also have plenty of other plans to iron out before tying the knot—including their shared property portfolio, which includes a number of multimillion-dollar homes spread across both coasts.
Although Allen, who was born in Firebaugh, CA, spends the majority of the season in Buffalo, he has maintained a close connection to the Golden State, snapping up a $7.2 million property in Dana Point back in 2023.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling is located inside a “prestigious” guard-gated community that features its own private beach club—and offers proximity to a host of nearby five-star resorts, including the Ritz Carlton.
It’s understood that Allen spends much of the offseason at his California abode, soaking up the warm weather after a traditionally frosty Buffalo winter.
However, the sporting sensation also boasts another very sizable dwelling much closer to the Buffalo Bills’ training ground and stadium: a custom-built megamansion that he had erected on a plot of land he snapped up in 2021 for the relatively low price of $500,000.
Records show that he purchased the 31-acre plot via an LLC, with Google Maps indicating that he has had quite the impressive property built on it.
Located in the tony community of Orchard Park, approximately eight minutes away from Highmark Stadium, the home features a stunning swimming pool, pool house, and a private sports court that can be used for both basketball and tennis.
Additionally, there is a private lake on the land, which has been outfitted with a small dock as well as a waterfront seating area that can be accessed via steps that lead down to the water from the pool.
Ironically, the property appears tailor-made for summertime activities, despite the fact that the football season takes place largely during the colder months.
Still, it provides the perfect place for Allen to lap up the last of the warm weather when he returns to Buffalo for preseason training camp, which kicks off on July 24.
However, thanks to his fiancée, the NFL pro also has his pick of properties over on the West Coast—where Steinfeld also owns a dazzling abode, which she picked up for $8 million back in 2021.
Located in Encino, CA, more than an hour away from Allen’s Dana Point dwelling, the home was previously owned by rocker John Fogerty, who sold it to Steinfeld for $7.98 million—more than $3 million more than he had paid for it in 2018.
The actress’ property spans an impressive 9,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Much like her beau’s abode in Buffalo, it has a sizable private pool, which can be accessed via a motorized window wall that opens up from the main living area into the backyard.
Upstairs, the primary suite features its own sitting room as well as two fireplaces, two walk-in closets, and two bathrooms—perfect for the couple that prefers to have their own space to get ready in the morning.
Cozy date nights can be enjoyed in the home’s private movie theater, while the couple can host plenty of guests in the property’s lounge, bar, or great room that has a custom “floor-to-ceiling entertainment wall.”
And while the backyard has ample space for entertaining—and even includes an outdoor kitchen—that is not the only place where the pair can kick back and enjoy the open air.
In addition to the yard, there is also a roof deck on the property, which provides an additional outdoor space for relaxation or sunbathing.
However, if the pair are hoping to invest in property together, they may look elsewhere in California, specifically Malibu, which is where Allen popped the question to Steinfeld on Nov. 22, 2024.
The actress opened up about the proposal during a February interview with Who What Wear, telling the publication that Malibu serves as her “happy place” and adding that she couldn’t have been happier with how the proposal happened.
“I’m so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we’ll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I’m not looking at being like, ‘What was I wearing?’” she said. “We were in Malibu, which is my happy place, and it was magical.”
Still, while she has readily shared a few brief details about the proposal, Steinfeld made clear that the couple plans to continue safeguarding their privacy as much as possible.
“When you realize that so much is already out there in every other aspect of your life, you really learn to cherish the little that isn’t. It just makes things extra special, and it’s just for you,” she explained.
