According to Miranda’s post, it looks like the first shows to be spotlighted will be Hamilton, joined by 2025 Tony nominees Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Maybe Happy Ending, and Buena Vista Social Club.
For those unable to attend the live performance, the event will also be live streamed via the @playbill Instagram account.
The outdoor impromptu concert series Ham4Ham was a mainstay of the megamusical Hamilton
in the year following its starry 2015 premiere on Broadway, with
composer and star Miranda greeting hopefuls in line for each
performance’s discount ticket lottery with a performance on the steps of
the theatre, sometimes improvised, and often including guests from
their neighboring shows.
A 2023 iteration of the series featured performances from Kimberly Akimbo; Parade; Some Like It Hot; Shucked; Camelot; & Juliet; Into the Woods; New York, New York; and more.
Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, direction by
Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical
supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
