Soggy Thursday into the evening across southern Minnesota

Scattered showers will continue to develop and fill in across southern Minnesota Thursday into Thursday night. Skies clear Friday with more rain and thunder possible by Sunday and Monday. 

Scattered showers Thursday, more early next week 

Rain will continue to develop and fill in across southern Minnesota through the day Thursday and reaching central Minnesota by the afternoon and evening. Showers will persist overnight with some lingering showers early Friday.

Highs Thursday will remain in the rain-cooled 50s for most under cloudy skies.

Rainfall will once again be highest for southern and in particular southeastern Minnesota where 1 inch or more is possible:

After a few lingering showers early Friday, clouds will decrease making for a pleasant afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 50s to low 60s.

The weekend will see mild temperatures with sunshine Saturday. Saturday will be the best day of the weekend. Sunday will be warmer but with more clouds and some showers already developing.

The showers that develop Sunday are just the start of an unsettled pattern that will persist into Monday and Tuesday. Rather than a steady rain, we’re going to be in a more summerlike stormy setup.

Highs by Monday will be near 80 for much of southern Minnesota.

In addition to the summerlike warmth, dew points will also increase Monday into the 60s, providing plenty of fuel for storms.
